How Do I Disable the Chat Feature?

To disable the Chat/IM completely, read on.

Via mobile

Select the hamburger menu icon at the top left of the screen, then choose My Profile. From the list, scroll down and select Settings. Once on the settings page, tap the Select Tab field and choose Privacy from the options. Your privacy preferences will be displayed. Tap the checkbox next to Disable Chat then scroll down until you see Save Changes.

Via desktop

Navigate to My Profile from the main menu, then select Settings. Select Privacy from the left-hand menu and your privacy preferences will be displayed. Select the checkbox next to Disable Chat then scroll down until you see Save Changes.

‼️ Once saved, you’ll notice that the Chat bar and Show/Hide arrow will disappear from the bottom of your browser window. The Chat is now disabled and members will not be able to message you via the IM.
