How Do I Adopt a Group?

To be eligible to take over a group up for adoption, you need to have a Premium membership. While you don't have to be verified to create a group, we recommend verifying as will make the whole process a lot easier, and give you the most functionality as the Group Owner. Verification only takes about a minute and it's completely secure. Find out more.

We also strongly recommend that group owners read and understand the BateWorld Terms of Service, Content Standards and Community Guidelines to ensure your group thrives within these guidelines and does not become at risk of removal through any ToS violations.

If you’d like to lend a hand in the community and take over a group that’s been put up for adoption, follow these simple steps:

Under the 'Community' tab at the top of your browser window, select 'Groups' from the drop-down menu. A new window will appear listing all the groups on BateWorld. To the left of the list, select 'Groups up for Adoption'. A new window will appear listing all the groups in need of new leadership. 

Select the group you’re interested in leading. If you’re not already a member of the group, make sure to join and then refresh your screen, then follow the instructions that appear at the top of that group’s page.
