We've updated our media review process to stay compliant with the rules and regulations we need to follow—and to make reviews faster and more accurate. This updated process also helps make BateWorld a better place for you by ensuring only the media that belongs here shows up here.

The review process
All new uploads will now be marked as 'Pending' until that piece of media has been reviewed. The image or video will not be made public while under review.
How to check the status of your uploads
Once you've uploaded your media, you can immediately check the status by viewing the corresponding area where the media was uploaded. For example:
Profile photos | Select 'My Profile' from the main menu, then choose 'My Photos' from the drop-down list. Select the album to where it was uploaded. |
Profile videos | Select 'My Profile' from the main menu, then choose 'My Videos' from the drop-down list. Select the album to where it was uploaded. |
Group photos | Select 'My Profile' from the main menu, then 'My Group Photos' from the drop-down list. Scroll until you find the group to where it was uploaded. |
Group videos | Select 'My Profile' from the main menu, then 'My Group Videos' from the drop-down list. Scroll until you find the group to where it was uploaded. |
Event photos | Select 'My Profile' from the main menu, then 'My Event Photos' from the drop-down list. Scroll until you find the event to where it was uploaded. |
Once an image or video has been reviewed by our media review team, the status will change to Approved. It will then go into the BateWorld news feed to fuel your fellow bators! You can then edit, delete or change your media's privacy settings by heading to 'My Profile', then select 'My Photos' then 'Edit Album' where your media lives.
If there is an issue with an image or video, the status will change to Needs Attention! and you will be notified. The image or video will not be released until you have had the opportunity to take action. Once tags are in place, you can then resubmit the media for review.
In the case of an image or video violating our Terms of Service, Content Standards or Community Guidelines, the status will change to Deleted; the media will not be released and you will see a deletion notification with the relevant image file name referenced in the album.
Why would a piece of media 'need attention'?
Any media uploaded to the site can only feature BateWorld members; if other people feature in your media, the image or video needs to be tagged with the username of the member. If your media features others who are not on BateWorld, it will not be approved.

How long does approval take?
All new uploads will be processed as quickly as possible, within 24-48 hours.
Who reviews media uploads?
We do not use AI or machine learning to review media since these systems can struggle with the huge variety in bodies and gender presentations. Every single upload is reviewed by a human.
