While BateWorld has worked to make sure we're complying with all state and regional regulations and laws, some areas have intentionally angled their rules to prevent sites like ours from being able to reasonably comply.
North Carolina's age verification laws require that all content on the site has signed consent forms from all participants, and that this applies retroactively to content shared before the law came into effect. While we are able to verify the age of users visiting from North Carolina, with 15 years of history in our books, we can't reasonably ensure that all content displayed will have matching signed declarations from all participants.
As a small LGBTQAI+ owned and operated business, we are saddened to exclude anyone seeking connection and community.
If legal challenges bring changes to these requirements, we'll be the first to adapt our policies. Until then we encourage users to learn how to keep themselves safer online.
