Where is BateWorld Unavailable?

While BateWorld has worked to make sure we're complying with all state and regional regulations and laws, some areas have intentionally angled their rules to prevent sites like ours from being able to reasonably comply. 

North Carolina's age verification laws require that all content on the site has signed consent forms from all participants, and that this applies retroactively to content shared before the law came into effect. While we are able to verify the age of users visiting from North Carolina, with 15 years of history in our books, we can't reasonably ensure that all content displayed will have matching signed declarations from all participants. 

We will continue to watch the enforcement of this law, and match our policies accordingly. 

In Alabama, adult entertainment websites are not only required to verify user age, but are now required to pay an additional sales tax on any revenue generated in the state. This taxation is widely believed to be unconstitutional and likely to be challenged. 

As though that weren't enough, Alabama also requires sites like BateWorld to display a pseudoscientific "public health warning" about the "dangers of pornography." Our mission is to normalize masturbation, and we follow the science to that end. As there is no scientific basis behind this magical thinking about masturbation or pornography, we can't, in good conscience, falsely attest that there is. BateWorld users are too smart for that. 

We are deeply troubled by this legislation and as a small LGBTQAI+ owned and operated business, are saddened to exclude anyone seeking connection and community. If legal challenges bring changes to these requirements, we'll be the first to adapt our policies. Until then we encourage users to learn how to keep themselves safer online.
