Troubleshooting Chat Issues

If you're experiencing any IM issues, a browser reset usually clears it. First, ensure you're logged out of BateWorld on all devices. 

For Desktop

Chrome: At the top of the browser, select 'Chrome' from the menu, then 'Settings' from the drop-down menu. Select 'Privacy and Security' from the left menu. From there, delete your browser's cache and cookie data.


Firefox: At the top of the browser, select 'Firefox' and then 'Settings' from the drop-down menu. From the left menu, select 'Privacy & Security' and scroll until you see 'Cookie and Site Data'. Clear the data.

Safari: 
At the top of the browser, select 'Safari' and then 'Settings' from the drop-down menu. Choose 'Privacy' then 'Manage Website Data'. Clear the data.


For Mobile


Most popular mobile browsers have similar menus to the desktop versions. You're going to want to follow similar steps to the above, which is to clear the cache and cookie data. If you're unsure where to find this setting on your chosen mobile browser, perform a Google search to find it. 


Please note:
Clearing cookie and site data may impact any other open tabs you have. The easiest way is to sign out of all tabs and close them before starting this process. 


If there are any ad blockers or third party extensions installed in the browser, these tend to cause issues with how the site is experienced - we recommend disabling or removing these to get the get best experience. 

Having many IM chat windows open at the same time can slow things down considerably. Closing any open chats will make a notable difference in your page load time and chat responsiveness.


As all new accounts must wait a full 24hrs before being able to chat, the IM will become available after the 24hrs have passed.
